If you know any inquisitive children (or if you’re wanting some quick facts), check out a nonfiction book about nature for children. These books will grab their interest quickly, while also filling in some knowledge gaps. Filled with gorgeous visuals, nature nonfiction for children will motivate them to spend more time outside! Always Raining Here by Hazel and Bell
When choosing my latest read, I went to my trusty list of webcomics. I found Always Raining Here! Always Raining Here: A Graphic Novel written and illustrated by creative duo Hazel and Bell is a standalone adaptation of the webcomic of the same time. This graphic novel is adorably awkward about two teenage boys who start out as strangers and slowly, maybe, become something more.

Have you ever sat down and really thought about your identity? Welcome Readers!
Our 2026 Online Reading Challenge is … KNOW YOUR HISTORY! Each month we will be reading about a different observance month and highlighting a main title about that month.
For August, we are learning about South Asian Heritage Month. We are celebrating the diverse cultures of people from the South Asian countries of Nepal, Bhutan, the Maldives, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. We are reading books by Indian and South Asian authors.
